About Camilla George
British saxophonist
Comments
If you following the London New Jazz scene, do not miss this album. Camilla herself is highly talented on alto sax and this album brings some greats in the scene together. Shirley Tetteh on guitar is stunning, with licks thrown back to Wes M and George B. I always love Femi on drums and Daniel Casimir has a sweet, round bass driving the rhythm. The culture and theme of this lovely album must be absorbed and understood, the history of Camilla's family and indeed the history of slavery were the spirit of this lovely album. Give us more I say..
