Review by yoosi nhay

The album "The Road To Dundee: The Hiking Song" by Calum Kennedy is a beautiful collection of traditional Scottish folk songs. Kennedy's soulful voice and the rich instrumentation transport listeners to the rugged landscapes of Scotland.

One standout track is "The Hiking Song," which is an upbeat and cheerful tune that encourages listeners to embrace the great outdoors. The lyrics are catchy and easy to sing along to, making it a perfect song for group singalongs.

Another highlight is "The Road To Dundee," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases Kennedy's vocal range and emotive delivery. The accompanying instrumentation, which includes the fiddle, accordion, and guitar, adds depth and texture to the song.

My late Mother, Bertha played this tune on the Piano at Redleys Farm each time Archie Robertson from St Andrews came to visit us when staying at North Collielaw Farm, Blackhills, Peterhead with his Daughter Heather Wilson and Husband Alan. Happy Days indeed.

I wonder if Skippinish would ever cover this tune. I think Robert has the voice for it & could do a superb job.
