Brussels Jazz Orchestra - Countermove

Review by Sam Siddique

The Brussels Jazz Orchestra has once again delivered an exceptional musical experience with their latest album, Countermove. The album features a diverse range of compositions that showcase the band's incredible musicianship and creativity. From the upbeat and energetic "Countermove" to the more contemplative and introspective "The Lost City," the album takes listeners on a dynamic journey through the world of jazz.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Tales of the Frog," which features a beautiful solo from saxophonist Dieter Limbourg. The piece is a tribute to the late Belgian composer and pianist Michel Herr and perfectly captures his unique musical style. Another highlight is "The Morning After," a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases the band's ability to create an evocative atmosphere.
