About Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jamaican reggae band fronted by but initially formed as vocal group, with & , then adding the rhythm section of ( & ). In 1974, after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer departures, producer renamed the group Bob Marley & The Wailers (even if some previous records were released with this name) and marketed it as a rock band (vocalist + instrumental band). After Bob Marley's death in 1981, The Wailers continue to record with some artists like , , or . Some members of The Wailers formed in 1989.

I love this song. This is one of my favorites from Bob Marley. This song was written by Bob Marley in 1967 and recorded by his band the Wailers as a single. In 1972 Johnny Nash an African American singer covered the song and recorded it on his album called I Can See Clearly Now. That same year Bob Marley and his band the Wailers re-recorded that song for their album Catch A Fire. In 1973 the Wailers band traveled to the UK and performed that song at the Old Grey Whistle Test for the BBC.
