Review by May Zayan

Artur Rubinstein's album, Nocturne In F Sharp Major Ritual Fire Dance, is a delightful collection of classical piano pieces that showcase the maestro's exceptional talent and virtuosity. This album features some of the most beloved works of Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel, and Rubinstein's interpretation of these pieces is nothing short of breathtaking.

The album opens with Chopin's Nocturne in F Sharp Major, Op. 15 No. 2, a hauntingly beautiful piece that Rubinstein plays with great sensitivity and nuance. He captures the melancholic mood of the piece perfectly, and his delicate touch on the keys creates a sense of intimacy that draws the listener in.

Next up is Debussy's Suite bergamasque, a four-movement piece that includes the famous Clair de Lune. Rubinstein's rendition of this piece is simply stunning, with his masterful control of the dynamics and his ability to bring out the nuances of the melody. He plays with a lightness of touch that perfectly captures the ethereal quality of Debussy's music.

The album concludes with Ravel's La Valse and the Ritual Fire Dance from El Amor Brujo. Rubinstein's interpretation of these pieces is nothing short of electrifying, with his thunderous playing on the keys creating a sense of drama and excitement that is truly captivating.
