Art Tatum's Junior Jazz Gallery is a masterpiece that showcases the pianist's exceptional skills and mastery of the jazz genre. The album features an impressive collection of tracks that are both timeless and innovative, providing a glimpse into Tatum's unique approach to music.

The album's opening track, "Just One of Those Things," sets the tone for the rest of the album, with Tatum's fluid piano playing taking center stage. The album also features standout tracks like "Cocktails for Two," "I Know That You Know," and "Tea for Two," all of which highlight Tatum's incredible improvisational skills and his ability to effortlessly blend different elements of jazz into a cohesive whole.

What makes Junior Jazz Gallery truly special is Tatum's ability to convey emotion and depth through his music. Whether he's playing a slow ballad or an upbeat swing number, Tatum's playing never feels mechanical or forced. Instead, it's clear that he's fully invested in every note he plays, and his passion for the music shines through in every track.

About Art Tatum

American jazz pianist, widely acknowledged as one of the greatest of all time. Born: October 13, 1909 in Toledo, Ohio Died: November 5, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. From infancy he suffered from cataracts which left him blind in one eye and with only very limited vision in the other. A major influence on later generations of jazz pianists, he was hailed for the technical proficiency of his performances, which set a new standard for jazz piano virtuosity. Among the countless quotes of praise he garnered, jazz critic has called Tatum "the greatest soloist in jazz history, regardless of instrument." In 1964, Art Tatum was inducted, posthumously, into the DownBeat Jazz Hall of Fame. Tatum posthumously received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1989.
