Sextet Philadelphia 2005 Part I is an impressive album by the legendary jazz musician, Anthony Braxton. The album showcases Braxton’s unparalleled talents as a composer and performer, and features an exceptional lineup of musicians.

The album opens with the track “Composition No. 345 (+108B)”, which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its intricate melodies and complex rhythms. The musicians’ virtuosity is on full display as they navigate the challenging composition with ease.

The album also includes a number of improvisational pieces, such as “Composition No. 347 (+108C)”, which allows the musicians to showcase their individual talents and creativity. The interplay between the musicians is seamless, and it’s clear that they are all deeply connected to the music and each other.

One of the standout tracks on the album is “Composition No. 350 (+108F)”, which features an extended solo by Braxton on saxophone. His playing is both technically impressive and emotionally expressive, and it’s clear that he is fully in the moment, completely immersed in the music.
