Reply to sanzodono below....the sound of the song is more about the musical vocabulary of the producer than anything else. In this case the production and recording is French.(Martin Meissonnier) . North African music in raw form is just not that listenable.

yeah they did. but the rythms used in this song sound more african than middle eastern .also north african music is a mix of african, middle eastern and medditeranean music. it's been influenced by so many other genres, unlike middle eastern music. you should know that. or maybe it's all about ones knowledge of music, or not
