How did you find it?

I had ACR single of I won’t... and did it and edit just for my own enjoyment, cutting jarring parts.
My ex in the 80’s asked for songs that meant a lot to both of us.
I then found this!
Beautiful.

What a gem! This one certainly deserves more attention.
Never in the field of musical endeavours has such a beautiful song been matched with the most preposterous inelegant dancing.
From the movie "control" Ian Curtis/ Joy Division
it's not 1980 it's 1989
top tune here
Ian Curtis 22 faces and everyone disintegrating he was trying to please everybody was'nt he?
Never knew this video existed. Thanks for posting...one of my favourite songs ever. RIP Denise Johnson and thanks for helping me find this. God bless.
RIP Denise Johnson you will be sorely missed by everyone whoever worked with you in the music industry and especially Manchester, you’re glowing infectious smile and amazing voice will remain with us all forever xxx
This version is sneaky.
It starts and ends using the opening sample of This Mortal Coil - 16 days / gathering dust.
I had the cd single of ACT I won’t stop loving you. I sent him the link then like the idiot I am right now then and now in self quarantine. I found these more chill versions.
Everyone please stay safe.
And maybe like me you’ll discover something from the past that’s new to you.

Seen them in Dublin last saturday week they played this what a beautiful fucking pop tune met them backstage Jez talked to me about Mark Smiths abrasive bullying attitude towards him (Jez that is) in a boozer one night in Manchester and Ian's (Curtis) easy going social persona towards everybody he ever met ( a lovely guy by all accounts) I talked to Martin, Donald, and Denise too, lovely people all
saw acr in Clitheroe last night and they played this . bloody wonderful
A bad combination, Iggy's 'Idiot' on the turntable , Herzog's 'Stroszek' on the telly , a mostly drunk bottle of whiskey on the lounge table, a collapsed marriage, a hopeless love affair , a tour of America he was terrified of going on, never ending epilepsy, severe depression and a clothes line in the kitchen , fuckin' hell the odds were stacked against him that night when you think about it weren't they?
The SAX is late 80's BRILLIANCE...
WHAT a KILLER Song = Sweet as they come - thanks Dean @ Chanel 2 Brisbane & RAGE !
Love this version of this song!!
Learning to sing and want to do this song. Just noticed the reference to Annik Honore on the inside of the album cover. Clearly wouldn't have got that at the time it was first released. Re Whagoson 3 years ago - that is why this song is featured in Control I guess. Also re Northside yeah in principal pretty bad but in Rising Star they had one delicious song. I will defend that all day.
This song excused all the dross released in the late 80's. Pop really can't get any better than this!!
Nice vid. Tuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnneeeeeeeee!
this song was great loved the sax
Great song, not sure why it's been added to a Control video, probably the factory connection. As someone who lived through the Factory Era all i have to say is please INVESTIGATE, Durutti, Quando, Joy Divison, Wake, Heck even Crispy Ambulance, just go enjoy...Just don't do Northside..Please .Promise.!!!.
top stuff...in my humble opinion they were never as big as they should of been..its good to see them gettin together accasionally to play...
