I still have a library of his songs till today. 几度花落时 I bought it in 1964. I am still enjoying his songs today , am 70 years old.

Bring back fond memories. Remember bought this EP record outside Majestic Theatre in Chinatown even though I could not afford a record player in those days. Love it.

啟明=黃啟明，也就是黃清元的原名。所以，幾度花落時這首歌的歌詞是他自己寫的。黃清元也在不同的場合裡提到這事。
台湾的创作歌曲最高峰是在80年代，那时候是流行民谣歌曲。

Excellent vocals, but I also enjoy the instrumental abilities of his band, the Stylers. The guitar player plays in a style that seems to combine early George Harrison (Beatles) and the Ventures, with a Chinese flavor. Unique sound.
