Angie Samiou was born Aggeliki Samiou in March 7,1960 in Piraeus, Greece. She is a popular pop/folk singer and also a radio producer.
Angie Samiou wanted to be a singer from a very young age and by the early '90s she started working professionally singing in nightclubs. On her birthday in March 1992, her debut album was released by . The title track became a radio hit and she began to achieve recognition in the music industry. Her second album, entitled was her first album at the music company. In 1997, she changed her music company, she went from to until her last album entitled (2004). After a four-year break from the music industry she came back with the hit single (2008), through the label. During that era she was also a radio producer. Finally, after many personal and professional problems she decided to leave the music industry permanently.
Angie Samiou has also one of the best greek music videographies and she worked mostly with and .
She gained 3 Gold Certifications: (1999), (2000), (2001).
