Woodpecker - Woodpeckers

Review by Mizanur Rahman

Woodpeckers' self-titled album is a captivating collection of songs that showcases the band's unique blend of folk, blues, and rock influences. From the opening track "Redwood Forest" to the closing number "Whiskey River," the album offers a diverse range of sounds and emotions.

The standout track "Sweet Emily" features haunting vocals and a melancholic melody that will stay with listeners long after the song ends. "Blind Man's Bluff" is another highlight, with its foot-stomping rhythm and infectious chorus.

Throughout the album, Woodpecker's musicianship is on full display. The band members play with precision and passion, creating a cohesive sound that is both raw and polished. The production quality is also top-notch, with each instrument and vocal track sounding crisp and clear.

This is a very rare and obscure find! A good song; I like it! A nice pop instrumental. Although this was released and recorded back in 1973, which it does sound like 1973 in my opinion, it could also be from 1969 to 1983, which I personally call "the 70s era". Granted, I was born in 1992 but I love the 70s and 80s!
