Review by Jasmin Halkić

Unicef Koncert 79 is a compilation album featuring various artists who performed at the benefit concert for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 1979. The album showcases a diverse range of musical styles, from rock to pop to disco.

The opening track, "We Are the World," sets the tone for the album with its uplifting message of global unity and compassion. Other standout tracks include ABBA's "Chiquitita," which features the Swedish group's signature harmonies and catchy melodies, and John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads," which showcases his soulful vocals and acoustic guitar skills.

One of the album's most powerful moments comes from the performance of "Imagine" by John Lennon, who passed away just a year after the concert. His poignant lyrics and haunting melody serve as a reminder of the importance of peace and love in a world that often seems divided.

Great musicians
Heck, I would have gone just to hear ABBA. Chiquitita was the best entry by far.

Great concert... wonderful times. I was 17 years old and in love. The future, I imagined, will be full of wonderful things for me and also for the whole mankind. Was I right ? Was I wrong ? But it seems to me that times like those will never return.

Man, EW&F were like 347 dudes up there on the stage, it's amazing how tight they sounded live. My parents technically owned this vinyl, but my sister and I totally took it over and I'm pretty sure we eventually played it into dust.
