oh i thought this Hot Club Version is different
Does this remind anyone of She's Gotta Have It, specifically when Spike Lee first rides in on his bike?

Sorry for the late reply. If we're talking about dance music then House, Freestyle, Techno, Hip Hop, just about everything. I've never been good at putting stuff into genres and try to just give everything a listen. Before House came along I was really into Post Disco, Street Funk, Electro, Soul and even the more classic stuff from the 70's. With Techno I prefer the early Detroit sound which I call House anyway ;) I still buy music to this day so my collection covers all bases.

I never had anything against the vocals but I do remember feeling it got a bit over played. It would have been nice to have an alternate instrumental version to escape from what everyone else was playing.
Back then I really tried to play tracks no one else had heard. As soon as a track exploded, like this one did, that destroyed it for me in someway. Still, now, 25+ years later, this is once again a classic.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply.
This is recorded from the remix 12" and you're right, even if it's listed on the labels as an 'instrumental' it is more like a 'dub' version. The original release of this also has a 'instrumental' version but again it's a 'dub' version. So as far as I know there was never a true instrumental version without vocals.
