Metal Hammer Presents Metal For The Masses 2007 is a compilation album featuring various metal bands from around the world. The album is a great mix of different sub-genres of metal, including thrash, death, and black metal. It features some of the biggest names in the metal scene, such as Lamb of God, Trivium, and Killswitch Engage, as well as lesser-known bands like 36 Crazyfists and DevilDriver.
The album starts off with a bang, with Lamb of God's "Redneck" setting the tone for the rest of the album. The track is a perfect example of the band's signature sound, with Randy Blythe's aggressive vocals and the band's tight, heavy instrumentation. Other standout tracks include Trivium's "Entrance of the Conflagration," which features blistering guitar work and Matt Heafy's soaring vocals, and Killswitch Engage's "The Arms of Sorrow," a powerful ballad that showcases the band's softer side.
The album is not without its flaws, however. Some of the lesser-known bands on the album, such as Sanctity and The Showdown, don't quite measure up to the more established acts. Additionally, the album's sequencing could have been better, as some of the tracks seem to blend together and become indistinguishable.
