Notes

All aboard the retro train, we're heading straight for the heart of the 90s with I! Black Label's latest compilation of vintage garage sounds. They've unearthed some long-forgotten gems too: Somore and Damon Trueitt's "I Refuse" was originally spun back in '97 and it's an infectious slice of handbaggy stuff a la Robin S or Nightcrawlers. We also get Todd Edwards' trippy house take of a Trueitt tune, and the campy, jazzy fun of "Take My Hand", but it's the, dreamy, almost Saint Etienne-esque bliss-house of Richard Les Crees' "The Sign" that's really stood the test of time.
