Review by Miguel David

Uncle Dave Macon's album "Uncle Dave's Travels Part IV Visit At The Old Maid's Hold On To The Sleigh" is a classic example of old-time country music. The album features Macon's signature banjo playing and his unique vocal style, accompanied by fiddle, guitar, and mandolin.

The album is a collection of traditional songs and original compositions, all delivered with Macon's trademark humor and energy. The title track, "Hold On To The Sleigh," is a rollicking tune about a wild sleigh ride that will have listeners tapping their feet and singing along.

Other standout tracks include "Wreck of the Tennessee Gravy Train," a cautionary tale about the dangers of gambling, and "Jordan Is A Hard Road To Travel," a gospel-infused number that showcases Macon's impressive vocal range.
