Unbending Intent - Metamorphopsychogenesis

Review by Sanne Roemen

Unbending Intent's latest album, Metamorphopsychogenesis, is a masterpiece of extreme metal. From the opening track, "Eternal Fire," to the closing notes of "The Necromancer," the band delivers a brutal and uncompromising sound that will leave fans of the genre begging for more.

The musicianship on display here is simply stunning. The guitar work of lead shredder, Xander, is nothing short of mind-blowing. His riffs are razor-sharp, and his solos are otherworldly. Meanwhile, drummer, Liam, provides a thunderous backbone to the music, with his relentless blast beats and complex fills.

Vocalist, Darius, is a force to be reckoned with. His guttural growls and piercing screams perfectly complement the band's ferocious sound. He is equally adept at delivering the more melodic passages, adding an extra layer of emotional depth to the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Abyss," which features a hauntingly beautiful intro before descending into a brutal onslaught of sound. Another highlight is "The Hive Mind," with its intricate guitar work and pummeling rhythms.
