Twelve - 03 Part Two

Review by Rodrigo Figueroa

The album 03 Part Two by Twelve is a captivating and thought-provoking collection of songs that showcase the band's musical prowess and lyrical depth. From the haunting melodies of "Ghosts" to the upbeat rhythms of "Sunshine," every track on this album is a testament to Twelve's skillful musicianship and creative vision.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Broken," which features powerful vocals and a driving beat that will have listeners tapping their feet and singing along. The lyrics are deeply personal and introspective, exploring themes of heartbreak and self-discovery in a way that is both relatable and cathartic.

Another highlight of the album is "Lost in Translation," a melancholy ballad that showcases the band's ability to craft emotionally charged songs that resonate with listeners on a deep level. The raw, unfiltered vocals and stripped-down instrumentation create a sense of vulnerability and authenticity that is rare in today's music scene.

About Twelve

Originally conceived as a side project to , due to the delay of the record company putting out their new album and a lot of songs in danger of being shelved (the first album - also called this - is effectively a pseudonym Six By Seven album). Chris expanded on the concept with a true solo follow-up album in 2006, featuring more ideas exploring the electronic krautrock soundscapes and moving away from the guitar-heavy shoegaze indie noise of Six By Seven. Twelve's first ever live performance came in February 2012 (11 years after, effectively, forming) at a Klub Motorik krautrock night at the Windmill in Brixton, London. It was also recorded and released as a free download album and in limited quantities on physical formats.
