Tru Life's album Cryin Out Loud is a powerful and emotional journey through the streets of New York City. The rapper's rhymes are raw and honest, tackling themes of love, loss, and struggle with a deep sense of authenticity.
From the haunting opening track "Intro" to the introspective "Why" and the hard-hitting "Bag for It," Tru Life's lyrics paint a vivid picture of life in the inner city. The beats are gritty and hard-hitting, perfectly complementing the raw energy of the lyrics.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "When I Want," which features a guest appearance from fellow New York rapper Dave East. The two MCs trade verses over a haunting piano loop, delivering some of the album's most memorable lines.
