Toxica - Meniu

Toxica's latest album, Meniu, is a masterclass in hard rock. The Latvian band has been around since 2009, and their experience shows in the polished and tight performances on this record.

The album kicks off with "Spēļu laukums," a track that sets the tone with its driving riffs and punchy drums. From there, Toxica takes the listener on a journey through their particular brand of heavy music, with highlights including the soaring chorus of "Sirds uz palodzes" and the thrashy "Vēl viena diena."

Vocally, frontwoman Inese Pētersone is a force to be reckoned with. Her powerful and emotive delivery is perfectly suited to the band's sound, and she shines on tracks like the brooding "Mūžība" and the anthemic "Tavas acis."
