Tina and Her Pony's self-titled album is a refreshing mix of folk and Americana music. The duo, consisting of Tina Collins and Quetzal Jordan, deliver a unique sound with their blend of guitar, banjo, and vocals.
The album opens with "Abalone Sky," a whimsical tune that sets the tone for the rest of the record. The lyrics are poetic, and the duo's harmonies are spot on. "Little Boat" is another standout track, with its catchy melody and upbeat tempo.
Throughout the album, Tina and Her Pony showcase their musical prowess, with each track showcasing different elements of their sound. "Pony Ride" is a playful song that highlights the duo's banjo skills, while "Hopeful Song" is a more mellow tune that showcases their vocal range.

Indie Appalachian Folk Duo
Tina & Her Pony met in Asheville, N.C. in 2009. Tina Collins (tenor banjo, tenor ukulele, guitar, vocals) and Quetzal Jordan (cello, guitar, vocals) spent two years holed up in the high desert mountain town of Taos, New Mexico, making music and friends, and becoming one of the iconic artist colonys most beloved performing acts.
I was totally enchanted by the seemingly paradoxical combination of roots-as-old-as-the-hills sounding music, and yet fresh as the day after tomorrow vibe and sensibility, all presented with exquisite musicianship and sensitivity

After an 18 month tour spanning the entire United States and a bit of Canada, they relocated to Asheville. Tina and Her Pony released their full length, self-titled debut album in March 2012. The album was mixed and mastered in Oakland, Calif. with Myles Boise (The Tigerlilies; Kronos Quartet) and features trumpeter Chris Grady (also featured on Tom Waits Mule Variations).
In addition, the group released its six-track EP Walkin in My Sleep in March 2012. The sound on the EP has a playful, low-fi quality that highlights Collins and Jordan´s magnetic synergy as a standalone duo. Both albums are now available for download on iTunes and Amazon.
