Comments
Epochal album - a bit later its folky, spacious alt-sound will be adopted by "All About Eve", "Texas" and similar bands.
This is that 80s sound! It reminds me of how I think of the 60s sound. Just something that seems hard to replicate. The only thing missing is the 80s use of the sax.
Son é bem nostalgico, mesmo na epoca dos anos 80.
She always has the best videos.
What About Love>Voices Carry
What a voice! What a song! Cool video!
I tried..but the nostalgies got me bad.
the greatest decade ever in terms of fashion and music. so experimental and peaceful. The world seemed to know no problems.
? this one!
This is a brilliant song. I know that's a simple assessment but it really fits. We knew early on about Aimee Mann's talent.
That was so good. Heard it recently when 80s on 8 did a Top 40 from 1986. Also refreshing to hear a song from this band NOT called "Voices Carry".
Boy this takes me back.
What about it
I’ve always thought she was underrated. She was so cool & could sing.
Voices Carry was their most popular song but it's only within the past 2 months I've discovered this song... Not sure when and where I discovered it, no doubt I was high as fuck as I always am everyday but this song I've had on repeat the past couple weeks. One of the greatest songs ever made and so relatable... Especially after dealing with relationship issues... hope whoever is reading this has an amazing day ❤️
My dad was right , this song is hands down better than voices carry , once I listened to it. I can’t stop listening to this , holy crap this is good
I always feel like voices carry by them was the last big hit of new wave bands during that time frame. I do know other new wave bands that had hits after that year, but the songs sound more towards the 90s late 80s fluff then necessarily having a true new wave synthesizer sound style sound to it. More post punk. New wave 80s is my favorite music genre, so correct me if I'm wrong where I can learn from my statement. btw it has to be a well-known band and not underground. I'm talking top of the pops/billboard new wave synthesizer bands that had an album or a hit after voices carry. Don't wanna hear howard jones, duran duran, or omd lol and definately not new order or depeche mode bc they changed sounds for the time which i understand.
Help! I'm stuck in the comments section and trying to find anyone else who is stuck here?
Taylor Swift wishes she make a song this evocative. She's okay, but nothing like this.
Love her music
Terrible video, she can't dance or sing well, but the song is freaking incredible. Pretty much every note is spot on, exactly where and what it needs to be.
