About Swingle Singers
This is the original French group. For the British group after 1973, see and its aliases.
Originally a French vocal group, founded in 1962 by , specialized in singing classical songs with a capella/jazz arrangement. They were very popular in the USA, and won 3 Grammy Awards in 1964 and 1965. The group disbanded in 1973. Ward moved to England where he formed with an expanded repertoire.

@gmnotyet Yet I wonder. What makes this "Jazz"? All the notes are written by Bach. Drums keeping time hardly counts as Jazz, does it? Other than that it is all Bach.

I truly love it when talented artists can adapt a classical (er, baroque) piece into a truly new style, while remaining 100% true to the original. Bach himself would hear this as a faithful rendition of his composition!
