Stray From The Path - Our Oceania

Review by Lukman Hqeem

Our Oceania, the latest album from Stray From The Path, is a powerful and politically charged collection of songs that showcases the band's signature hardcore sound. The album is a bold statement on the state of the world and the current political climate, with lyrics that touch on topics such as police brutality, racism, and the destruction of the environment.

The album kicks off with the track "Ring Leader," which sets the tone for what's to come with its heavy riffs and aggressive vocals. "Kickback," another standout track, features a guest appearance from Counterparts vocalist Brendan Murphy and addresses the issue of police brutality with unflinching honesty.

Throughout the album, Stray From The Path's musicianship is on full display, with intricate guitar work and pounding drums that create a sense of urgency and intensity. The band's message is clear: they are not afraid to speak out against injustice and call for change.

USA's Stray from the Path started as a clone of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Coalesce, Converge, Eighteen Visions and Botch, as shown by their 2005 album, Our Oceania.

one of the most underrated albums of all time, their new material is still awesome, but nothing will ever top this and villains.

i love that album so much! i know it's a matter of taste, but this gives me so much more than the kind of music they're currently playing. don't get me wrong, the current stuff is cool, but they're old chaos days were just so inspiring...
