I lived near vernor/springwells also...used to eat at the cunninghams drug store diner there...get a cherry soda, which is not a milkshake or cola...sorta a milkshake with carbonation...sorry, got sidetracked...but this was a cool song back in the 70-71 era.
Did they get their name from Springwells Ave.? I used to live at Vernor and Springwells.
Saw Springwell open up at the Eastown Theater in Deetroit back in the day.
I believe that (the real), Fleetwood Mac was the main act?? Not sure.
Excellent vocals.

Lennon/McCartney song!!!!
Heard on CKLW many times in the early 70s. It was in "heavy rotation" - and I had it on 45.
I saw them do this live at an ALSAC concert at Cobo. I knew the record but had no idea they were from AP. Great! put them with Tim Tam and the Turn-ons!
Raucous cover of Cilla Black's #7 U.K. hit from Sept. 1964 - this one's got it!
Cool song. Remember hearing it on the radio.
I haven't heard this since the early 70's, thought it was Chase, but wasn't sure. I have been looking for this, thanks for the upload. I remember hearing this on WHOT and WFMJ in Youngstown, Ohio in 1971
I was hanging out in Melvindale and Allen Park in 71. I can't say i recall this song or band. I know Frigid Pink, another Allen Park band was on Parrot records at the time.
