Glenn Johnson Wow!This made me remember my grandad had this record back in the early 50`s.Playing it when i was a kid.
Great recording I believe the vocal is by Johnny Eager around 1951 Sid Phillips on Clarinet
I love this as well as your other videos and the vintage tables are so much more durable and well made that it is such a shame that they are not around and being made anymore . I guess cheap and garbage is what people want and not stuff that lasts and works well .. thank you for all your posts and looking forward to more in the future
what a great turntable the vintage gear is always the best thank you for posting this
I have made an amplifier that does duty as the other channel for my Hacker Gondolier.
It was a 6SL7GT and a 6V6. Not enough gain to fully drive the 6V6.
Tried using the 'spare' triode as a boot-strapped cathode follower. Not much difference.
I tried a more sensitive o/p valve (6CH6). Better (louder), but I need more gain.
What gain does the EF37A deliver?
Send me a private message if you wish to discuss my problem.

I seek advice relating to my own amplifier

Hi J
Many thanks for the comments I have been doing up a few old players both electric and gramophone for a while now and find great fun in doing so i have a few record players waiting for my attention. i am just getting into you-tube postings, and have found educational as i find out things from others.
hope to see more soon
Richard
