Roberta Flack A Donny Hathaway is a collaborative album by two legendary soul singers, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. The album was released in 1972 and features some of the most iconic songs in soul music. The album is a masterpiece of soulful duets and showcases the incredible talent of both singers.
The album opens with the classic "I (Who Have Nothing)" which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a beautiful duet between Flack and Hathaway, and their voices blend together perfectly. The album also features the hit single "Where Is the Love" which won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.
Another standout track is "You've Got a Friend" which was originally written by Carole King. Flack and Hathaway's rendition of the song is emotional and heartfelt, and their harmonies are stunning. The album also features a cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" which is a powerful and soulful rendition of the classic song.
