Born: September 11, 1925 in Barston, TN - Died: September 13, 1978. Member of the WSM Grand Ole Opry. Formed a band called the "Tennessee Pioneers" and started his singing career in 1945. In 1953, signed a recording contract with RCA Victor. His first release for them was "Blame It On The Moonlight" b/w "Don't Be Ashamed of Your Past".
