The Red Devils - Automatic

Review by Bogna Maslanka

Automatic, the album by Red Devils, is a thrilling ride through the blues and rock genres. The band's raw and energetic sound is showcased in every track, with catchy riffs and powerful vocals that keep listeners hooked from start to finish.

The album opens with the hard-hitting "Automatic", setting the tone for the rest of the record with its driving rhythm and gritty guitar work. "She's Dangerous" and "Goin' to the Church" are other standout tracks, highlighting the band's ability to seamlessly blend blues and rock influences.

Throughout the album, Red Devils' musicianship is on full display, with each member contributing to the overall sound in their own unique way. The harmonica solos on "Cross Your Heart" and "Blues in the Morning" add a touch of nostalgia and authenticity to the record, while the bass and drums provide a solid foundation for the band's fiery guitar work.

Everything about the band was genius. I played the Butterfield Blues Band records over and over when I was a young teenager, Fleetwood Mac. I played guitar and harp. The blues. The Red Devils is the best record I own. Nothing finer.Lester had a genius for algorithms, expression, making a statement every time, investing desperation into the number. He had a perfect sense for song structure. It can't be easy when you're that talented. What a band. The tunes are about danger, the death wish, heroin.

Does anybody knows which one made that rendition of this Cliff Richard song first? Bruce Willis version is VERY similar to this and I was wondering who did it first ;) Thanks
