Review by Holding Secrets

The Quake by Phonat is an electrifying album that showcases the artist's versatility and creativity. The album features a mix of electronic, rock, and pop elements that come together to create a sound that is uniquely Phonat's.

The album opens with the title track, "The Quake," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its pulsing beats and infectious hook. From there, Phonat takes the listener on a journey through a variety of moods and styles, from the dreamy "Identity Theft" to the anthemic "Never" and the funky "Fire."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Love Hits the Fan," which features a catchy melody and a driving beat that will get listeners dancing. The song is a perfect example of Phonat's ability to blend different genres and create something that is both fresh and familiar.

About Phonat

Michele Balduzzi the allusive, 7 foot, Italian maverick began making music in his rural home village of Tuscany, Italy. The album encompassed French house, D&B, nu disco, mash up, metal, trip hop, ragga, down tempo, funk, fidget, electro, rock and was described as a "Acid House Bohemian Rhapsody".The album eventually received a global release , by Atlantic / Big Beat, which enabled Phonat to reach a wider audience. The likes of Rob Da Bank, Norman Cook, Annie Mac, Pete Tong and the music presss all began to sing his praises whilst numerous tracks were used in computer games and TV shows. To accompany the tracks several highly acclaimed videos were made by long term Italian collaborator Rocco Pezzella.
