Review by Rizky Alfa Rizy

Pat Travers' album, Heat In The Street, delivers a powerful punch of hard rock and blues. The album showcases Travers' impressive guitar skills and gritty vocals, making for an intense listening experience.

The opening track, "Heat In The Street," sets the tone with its driving rhythm and electrifying guitar riffs. Travers' blues influences are evident in tracks like "Killer's Instinct" and "I Gotta Fight," which feature soulful guitar solos and emotive vocals.

The album also includes a standout cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower," which Travers infuses with his own brand of rock and roll energy.

The project's 1978 album, Heat in the Street, sounds identical to its past efforts.

Heeyaahh! I guess.... it just bothers me Tommy sounds SO, not! like himself. Drums are weak in the mix, to o damp.....produced tight into the carpet But the Pat man is still on his game even today! Pat ended up falling from my interest as band changed hands on drums and bass. Several times I think. And blah, blah I know......

Haven't heard this in years. I forgot how badass it is. I'm going to say something and it's not blasphemy. I think the reason "go for what you know" was such an important album was because we got to hear the raw Pat Travers. Travers had a tendency to overproduce in the studio. He was seduced by the overdubs and wanted to use every track on the tape. I wish these albums could be remixed and remastered. I think that would sell huge today. There's just nobody who did it as good as he did. The Rock Groove.

This would better without the 'chirping birds' sprinkled throughout... It reminds me of a cassette tape with way too many miles on it !
