I heard him sing this song when I was about 5 years old and have never forgotten it. I was madly in love with him. ….at the ripe old age of 5. ?
Oh my wonderful mother just LOVED Pat Boone...then way back 50/60tys ,listening was the radio only in our household. .Another clean cut American boy..special voice.
I met Pat today at a book signing (he signed for over 600 people!) and he was incredibly kind and personable, I talked to him about the whistling solo, he attempted to whistle but had a dry mouth, so I whistled it for him and he totally lit up with a huge smile, it was one of the most wonderful moments of my life, I'll never forget it. God Bless Mr. Boone!
He was never behind Presley. He was one of the few singers recognised as Rock n Roll, (Presley was not). We always looked forward to a smoochy jive to this one.

It’s a fine song, without any nostalgia attached to it I’m not likely to listen to it again. I love oldies though.
One of my favorites.I love the whistling solo.Nilsson also whistled in the same tone.
