About Nana Banana
Danish latin band from Østerbro, Copenhagen, Founded 1969/1970 by Lars Thorborg, Jakob Olsen, Mikkel Lüders and Jacob Houth. Named "Hjernefest" for first gig in 1972 in Brumleby, where some of the members resided, later named Nana Banana after a Yugoslavian bank clerk. The quintet line up evolved to a tentet by the recording of the bands sole LP for CBS. Released in 3500 copies but only selling 1250 copies the band was contractualli obliged to pay the label for release expences. Nana Banana folded in 1978. Several members went on to more significant bands
