Review by Astri Dewi

Mario Lanza's Operatic Arias and Duets as Sung in the Toast of New Orleans is a masterpiece that showcases the tenor's remarkable vocal range and emotive power. The album features a collection of classical arias and duets, including works from Verdi, Puccini, and Mozart, as well as popular songs from the New Orleans jazz scene.

Lanza's voice is simply breathtaking, and he effortlessly transitions from high notes to low notes with a rich, warm tone that captivates the listener. The album's standout tracks include the romantic duet "Bella Figlia Dell'Amore" from Verdi's Rigoletto, and the heart-wrenching aria "Che Gelida Manina" from Puccini's La Bohème.

One of the album's most notable qualities is its production value, which is top-notch and creates a lush, full sound that complements Lanza's voice perfectly. The orchestral arrangements are skillfully crafted, and the musicians demonstrate a deep understanding of the music and its emotional impact.
