Brilliant story. Fish was always at his best when he was bittersweet and cynical. The solos is totally brainmelting, by the way. It takes balls to make that first solo short. Could have lasted for minutes..

Fish wanted out at this time because he thought the band had become too big and he had no control over his life. Musical differences were cited as the reason but that wasn’t strictly the case. It’s so sad and while I’ve always enjoyed the Hogarth era Marillion, I still grieve for something lost.

on of my young coworkers jimmy, turned me on to Mariollion. they were influenced by floyd and genesis ,as you can hear some beats and vocla by fish reminds me of the genesis band. the trippy parts of their albums are floyd like so i can see where they were slightly influenced by them. fish by far was the best singer for this band. long may they live. i like fiugazi as well a terem used in war meaning fucked up. and i like kalyee and misplaced childhood album
