Review by Vinícius Sacramento

Los Panky's, the legendary Peruvian rock band, has released a self-titled album that showcases their unique sound and musicianship. The album opens with the energetic track "El Ritmo de Panky," which immediately sets the tone for the rest of the album. The band's signature blend of rock, cumbia, and surf music is evident throughout the album, and their use of horns and percussion adds an extra layer of depth to their sound.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "El Mató a un Policía Motorizado," a cover of the Argentinean band of the same name. Los Panky's version is a high-energy, punk rock-inspired take on the song that is sure to get listeners moving. The band also pays tribute to their roots with a cover of "La Chichera," a classic Peruvian cumbia that they infuse with their own style.

About Los Panky's

Los Panky's were a short lived group from the 2nd wave of Mexican teen garage rock of the 1960's. They got their start in Mexico City under the name of Los Black Diamonds. They later changed the name to Las Animas and released a 2 song ep for Discos Orfeon, one track would later appear on the "Ritmo 66" compilation LP. The group changed their name once again and settled on Los Panky's. As Los Panky's, the group released 2 eps for Discos Cisne, an LP, and were featured on the Hanky Panky 66'' compilation LP. The group called it a day before the 60's were over. In 2014 Burger Records released their entire discography on cassette and Munster Records will be releasing the LP.

Que buen tema estos pankis no eran ningunos ordinarios , escuchaban bandas under del momento , nada que envidiarle a los originales y a los de Wayne Fontana
