ウーンたまあんなぁー！レジェンドたちがケレン味たっぷりに！スラム・スチュワート。ベースをアルコとハミングでハモルのは秀逸。極め付きは４倍速？のりのりの御大！このCD持ってるけど、最後まで聴いてしまった！
ホギー・カーマイケル作曲でしたかね、最もアメリカらしい曲。普通演奏は３分でしょう？でもハンプトン、サックスからピアノ、ビター、途中ヴォーカルが入るバージョンがあるも、最後は御自身のビブラフォン。サッチモに”ピアノはオスカー・ピーターソンが居るからお前はビブラフォンをやれ！”と。過去に博多のライブで会いました。”何歳ですか？”と聞くと”シックスティーン”（１６歳）と言ってニヤッと。私、ハンプトン・シペシャルと自称しています。最高！

My Dad played this recording at Christmas time every year. As a trained musician, I remember every note. He told me how the drummer had to rim shot to snap Lionel Hampton out of his solo trance. I love you and miss you Daddy. Today is my 69th birthday !!! ???
That album was played in my home when I was a kid and loved it. I still have the original that my Mom purchased and it is priceless. Mr. Hampton and his All Stars were geniuses!!
