Hey Girl,
I SAW LEE MICHAELS LIVE IN 1969 I WAS 15 THE WAR MY WAR V N AND THE BAND LOVE ALSO THE YOUNGBLOOD WHO WAS THERE HUMMMMMMMMMMMM
This not on an album...it is the B side of The War.
Could someone PLEASE put his live version from the 1973 Live LP. It's just unreal! Thank You. Lee, where the hell did ya' go?
I first heard this song as covered by Climax (Precious & Few) I like their version better from hearing it first but this version is decent too.
I have looked for this song for OVER 40 years!!! Tonight I found it just now. I saw him in concert with my girlfriend (now wife) in '69 at the height of the Viet Nam war, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and this song brought the house down! It is incredible and so timely even now! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS HERE! MY SEARCH FOR IT HAS FINALLY ENDED. The last time I heard it was in 1970.
