The album by Jim Galloway, Milt Hinton, Gus Johnson, and Ralph Sutton is a wonderful tribute to traditional jazz music. The quartet plays with great skill and energy, bringing to life classic tunes such as "All of Me" and "St. Louis Blues."
Galloway's saxophone playing is especially impressive, with his smooth, melodic lines perfectly complementing Hinton's bass and Sutton's piano. Johnson's drumming provides a steady, swinging rhythm that keeps the music moving forward.

Canadian saxophonist (soprano, tenor, baritone), clarinetist and bandleader, born 28 July 1936 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.
In Glasgow he worked with Alex Dulgleish and led the Jazzmakers; emigrated to Canada in 1964. Led the Metro Stompers 1968, formed swing group in 1978, host of weekly radio show "Toronto Alive!" from 1981. He died on December 30, 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
