Review by Tiago Vergutz

J Tillman's latest album is a sublime and introspective journey through the singer-songwriter's innermost thoughts and feelings. With a delicate touch and a hauntingly beautiful voice, Tillman weaves together a collection of songs that are both deeply personal and universally relatable.

From the opening track, "Bored in the USA," Tillman's wit and humor shine through, as he skewers the emptiness of modern life over a lush bed of piano and strings. Throughout the album, he explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery, with a poetic sensibility that is both raw and refined.

Highlights include the achingly beautiful "I Went to the Store One Day," a tender ballad that showcases Tillman's gift for melody and storytelling, and the haunting "Holy Shit," a meditation on mortality that is both haunting and uplifting.
