It Bites - Whole New World Edit

Review by Wesley Gomes

The album Whole New World Edit by It Bites is a truly remarkable piece of work. From start to finish, the listener is taken on a journey through a world of intricate melodies, soaring vocals, and intricate guitar work.

The band's signature sound is present throughout the album, with each track showcasing their unique blend of progressive rock, pop, and jazz influences. The opening track, "Man in the Photograph," sets the tone for the album with its catchy hooks and infectious chorus.

Other standout tracks include "The Tall Ships," which features some stunning guitar work and a memorable chorus, and "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," which showcases the band's ability to create powerful and emotive ballads.

Saw them twice in the 80's. Great band and this song is one of the best.
Released as a single in the UK in September 1986.

One of my favourite songs from the 1980s ..a very small hit over here in the uk ....follow oup to "calling all the heroes " which was top10...anyway was never much of a 80s fan only for the uk charts as it mainly consisted with early 80s new romantic symphasiz groups alot of terrible novelty records and then the late 80s with all the house and rap music....so much loved the U.S charts with groups like journey, jackson browne bob segar and many many more that just didnt hardly chart over here ...oh well anyway god bless and please dont forget to b kind to each other...good karma so important xx ???

Another forgotten gem this time from the .mid 80s , actually prefer this from there only top 10 hit 'calling all the heroes ' , sadly this great song didnt even make the top 40 in the uk. Not that keen on the 80s music ( in the uk not the U.S ) we did have 1 or 2 terrific songs like : fiction factory 'feels like heaven'...spandau ballet's ' through the barricades '...dusty Springfield and pet shop boys ' what have I done to deserve this ' .....just didnt like l the early 80s symphasiz music ..new romantic stuff....the late 80s rap and house .... but loved the american west coast pop and rock feel good music for eg ..journey, jackson browne , bob segar ,bon Jovi, heart , to name but a few ...anyone else agree ?, anyway the main thing is music brings us all together in so many good ways so dont forget people to b kind to each other ..little things really do make a difference ...so as england dan and john Ford Coley sang that beautiful song " love is the answer " ..god bless ??

What a terrific song from what I thought was a real crappy uk 80s chart songs from the dreadful symphosiz early 80s new romantic yuk then the even worse house music of the late 1980s .. but at least we got 1 or 2 decent songs ...as opposed to all the brilliant american stuff that we over here didn't appreciate from the likes of journey ...eg' open arms' not even ahit over here , dont stop believing ...just made the top 50 , jackson browne , somebody elses baby ...no show not even top 75 and so many others etc x
