About Hugo Hulten

Swedish singer (bass) (b. 1877 in Vänersborg, Västra Götaland, Sweden  d. October 13, 1950 in New York, NY, USA) A cabinet maker and Secretary of a Masonic Lodge by profession, Hulten was a singer well-known among Swedish immigrants to the United States. Between 1914-1918, he recorded numerous songs for 's ethnic music series. He was also the president of the Eastern Division and vice president of the Eastern and Western Union of Swedish Singers and president of the Veterans Singers, and awarded a gold medal by the American Union of Swedish Singers for merit and 50 years of singing service.
