About Giulio Stermieri

Giulio Stermieri, born in 1988, won as the best keyboard player at the last Jazzit Awards, graduated cum laude at the Parma Conservatory with Alberto Tacchini; as of today he studies with Paolo Birro at the Vicenza Conservatory. From 2011 to 2014 he plays with the jazz-rock act Foursome, publishing 2 full-length albums with his own compositions. From 2013 to 2017 plays with Francesco Cusa Assassins as hammondist and pianist, recording 3 full-length album and playing gigs in Italy, Slovenia, Holland and France. Since 2015 hes the leader of Giulio Stermieri Stopping Trio, with Giacomo Marzi and Andrea Burani, publishing the self-titled album in 2017. With Cristiano Arcelli, Massimiliano Milesi and Andrea Baronchelli the trio becomes a sextet. Other projects: Mizar in duo with Flavio Zanuttini, and the Bred trio with Federico Negri and Martino De Franceschi. Hes a sideman, among others, with the following acts: Rust quartet with Luca Dalpozzo, Matteo Sabattini and Marco Frattini, and The Storytellers trio with Paolo Bacchetta and Zeno De Rossi. In 2019 records the album Crops and Sports with his Yabai quartet featuring Giovanni Benvenuti, Martino De Franceschi and Federico Negri, produced by Achille Caifa for Yoloco Music Inc. and published by All Right Riserva Recordz.
