Just listened to Pilou Pilou Hé. Brought back wonderful memories of a wonderful era in time. His singing raises my spirit warms my heart. J'espère qu'il se repose en paix.

Comme J'adore Becaud. Je suis ravie de trouver tant de ses chansons car Pandora n'en a rien.
Je trouve que cette chanson à des paroles très développé et très phylosophique. Cela m'a permis de m'évader un peu "au pays qu'à un joli nom". Surtout qu'en ce moment dans ma famille tout ne va pas très bien. Rufus (ma mère) m'exaspère au plus haut point. Tout cela pour vous dire que j'aime les bananes. Enfin voilà. Merci à Gilbert Bécaud pour ce chef-d'oeuvre.

Pour autant que je me souvienne, le texte exact n'est pas «A genoux ou sur les mains...» mais «A genoux... oux sur les mains» (répétition de la fin du mot "genoux")

"A genoux ou sur les mains ..." This seems odd to me. Will someone please explain why there is a reference to walking on knees or hands in this song? And is Pilou a nickname? Merci beaucoup in advance.
