Fuzzy Grass - 1971

Review by Andrea Lewis

Fuzzy Grass' album 1971 is a nostalgic journey through the golden era of rock music. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers of classic rock songs from the 70s. The band's sound is heavily influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, and they do an excellent job of capturing the essence of that era.

The album opens with "Highway Blues," a fast-paced, guitar-driven track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The band's lead guitarist, Jack, delivers some impressive solos throughout the album, but particularly on tracks like "Sunset Boulevard" and "Purple Haze." The rhythm section, consisting of bassist Dave and drummer Mike, provides a solid foundation for the band's sound, keeping the groove tight and the energy high.

The album's standout track is undoubtedly the band's cover of "Stairway to Heaven." Fuzzy Grass manages to put their own spin on the classic song, with Jack's guitar work being particularly noteworthy. The band's vocalist, Sarah, also deserves praise for her powerful performance on this track and throughout the album.
