- Ambient interpretations of traditional Christmas carols written between the mid 1700s to late 1800s.
- In many Western countries they have been ubiquitous for generations, to people of all persuasions. They are among those sung and played repeatedly through shopping malls, elevators, radio, and on television to a maddening degree, and it’s very handy to have alternative renditions, for alternative situations.
- In this project the essential melodies are deconstructed and then, in the sprit of the ambient music tradition, reproduced through a host of filters and processing creating murky pools from which elements the familiar melodies emerge. The effect is intended to have the melodic themes catch the listeners’ ears in random and unexpected ways.
