Brilliant.
Both are so symphonic. Ellington plays a standout accompiniant.
Billy May was the one who tied this all together.
Sei il meglio Sinatra, non canti parli
I love you....
Greatness Frank and The Duke.
What a groove!
Beginning is the same as "I'm feeling good".
Pretty darned special. All I Need is the Girl, Sunny and I Like the Sunrise are about as good as it gets. Too bad Sinatra and the Duke didn't collaborate more.
A great collaboration that includes this vastly under-exposed and brilliant tune. Why it isn't among one of Sinatra's iconic standards is a mystery to me.

Wow, the two best ever...like Peanut Butter and Jelly, they belong together ❤️
A missed opportunity for a lot of reasons....certainly not one of Sinatras best......though it does contain one the greatest recordings Frank ever made and the favorite of Nelson Riddle...Indian Summer
I love this dual, I can’t get enough.

FRANK & THE DUKE: Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio just played INDIAN SUMMER – our favorite singer with the Duke Ellington orchestra (arranged by Billy May). It features my all-time favorite instrumental solo (musical bridge) on ANY song ever recorded -- by sax giant Johnny Hodges. The album “Francis A & Edward K” was recorded during two days in December 1967 (a very good year). Two months earlier I went by myself (no jazz fans among my friends) to see Duke Ellington 'in person' in my hometown of Ottawa – or rather just across the river in Hull Quebec where liquor laws were lax age 18 -- or less; (crudely-modified driver's licenses were seldom examined too closely.)
No end to his great recordings. One voice, 1000 different shades.
Don't Wait Too Long. ?
