Foundation - Turncoat

Review by Cecelia Wight

Foundation's album Turncoat is a powerful and passionate work of hardcore punk that showcases the band's intense energy and fierce commitment to social justice. From the opening track "Devotion II" with its driving rhythms and urgent vocals, to the closing anthem "The Sound of Arson," this album never lets up.

The lyrics are politically charged and socially conscious, addressing issues like police brutality, racism, and the struggle for freedom and equality. The band's message is delivered with a raw and emotional intensity that is sure to resonate with fans of punk and hardcore music.

Musically, Turncoat is a well-crafted album that blends elements of classic punk and hardcore with modern metal and post-hardcore influences. The guitar riffs are heavy and aggressive, while the drums and bass provide a solid foundation for the songs. The vocals are delivered with a sense of urgency and sincerity that adds to the overall intensity of the music.
