Review by Giovanis Montero

Eric Borgo's album "Mopti" is a captivating and mesmerizing work of art that takes listeners on a journey through the depths of African-inspired rhythms and melodies. The album is a tribute to the Malian city of Mopti, known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant music scene.

From the very first track, "Mopti Blues," Borgo's intricate guitar work and hypnotic beats transport listeners to the heart of West Africa. The album's diverse range of instruments, including the kora, balafon, and ngoni, add an authentic touch to the music, creating a truly immersive experience.

Each track on the album is a unique and captivating blend of traditional African music and modern electronic elements. "Djigui" and "Mande" showcase Borgo's ability to seamlessly merge the sounds of the past and present, while "Sokon" and "Kanaga" are more upbeat and danceable, making them perfect for any party or gathering.
